Producing a God-honouring unforgettable impact in our Region takes serious effort. Over the last few years we have celebrated great stories as God raises up leaders and empowers churches to reach their communities for Christ. Yet, there is so much more on God’s heart. We have places in our Region like Sparwood, BC where the power and truth of the gospel has hardly been experienced. This small coal mining town in south eastern, BC has a population of close to 4000 people. Substance abuse, hard living and broken families and lives are common descriptions of the town. Currently, there is only one small evangelical church.
The first chapters in the story of transformation are about to be written in Sparwood as Mountainside Community Church in Fernie has just chosen Ryan Keehn to be the campus pastor for a new work in Sparwood.
The Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches Pacific (FEB-Pacific) is a diverse group of over 100 Churches and Ministry Affiliates located throughout BC and the Yukon who are partnered together to achieve an unforgettable God-honouring impact within our communities and beyond. Our regional office, also known as the FEB-Pacific Ministry Centre is located in the town of Fort Langley. The staff of seven work together to assist churches in the areas of church health and pastoral care, church planting, ethnic ministries, youth ministries, women’s ministries, stewardship and other administrative functions.
We are also partnered with our seminary, Northwest Baptist Seminary and other affiliated organizations such as Baptist Housing, WINGS (Women in Need Gaining Strength), Camp Ministries, New Hope Community Services Society and Vancouver Urban Ministries.
